What I am currently enjoying
Jan. 29th, 2018 09:12 pmSo today had many things to enjoy, despite my possible strep throat. J picked me up from work, which I got off from early, and then we went adventuring. And by adventuring I mean, we went to the library and then to get bbq. Which were both very nice. :)
Thanks to leaving early, we got to the library before it was overrun my school children. We returned most of the Green Lantern comics, J and I are reading what the library has of the Brightest Day, Blackest Night storyline. It doesn't have all of them, but they are fairly self contained. It was kind of annoying to figure out the order to read them in. Now, I don't mind reading things with different titles. But we couldn't find a page that had all the comic collection books, listed in order. J found it via a wiki page using google fu.
New acquisitions from the library include three Patricia Briggs books, the first Mercy Thompson book & the first two of the Hurog series Dragon Bones & Dragon Blood. I haven't really read anything much of hers, but I have been meaning to for a while. I also picked up Alex and Eliza by Melissa De La Cruz, who's Blue Blood series I liked. I picked up Superman vs the KKK & a non fiction on the history of chocolate titled Chocolate: a bittersweet saga of dark and light & the Batman Killing Joke movie.
